About the Organisation:

Our client is a prominent research and learning University currently seeking a Senior AWS Data Engineer to develop Campus-wide capability - currently utilising AWS, LoRaWAN, Dell Boomi - to integrate with Internet of Things (IoT) devices to collect and centrally store data for analytics and insights.

What your day will look like:

  • Design, build and optimise IoT data pipelines, architectures and data sets including IoT sensor data.

  • Full stack development - AWS tech and modern programming languages – eg: Node JS, Python.

  • Data integration design and build.

What you will need for success:

  • AWS Technologies experience is mandatory - see list below

  • Very good programming skills in NodeJS

  • Python development skills is nice to have.

  • Data integration – real-time data analytics, ETL, data modelling and SQL skills.

  • Atlassian DevOps toolchain – Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, et.al

  • Core development experience in AWS platforms.

  • AWS Cloud Formation

  • AWS Code Pipeline

  • AWS Landing Zone

  • AWS S3 & DynamoDB

Desirable:

  • Exp. designing, building and optimising IoT data pipelines, architectures and data sets including IoT sensor data.

  • Proven experience in developing asynchronous designs.
